Microsoft Surface RT Review

Lisa Gade reviews the Microsoft Surface RT Windows 8 RT tablet. This is a 10.6" tablet with a 1366 x 768 Gorilla Glass 2 IPS touchscreen. It runs on the quad core NVidia Tegra 3 T30, just like some popular 10.1" Android tablets and it has 2 gigs of RAM and 32 or 64 gigs of flash storage. The Surface RT has 1 USB 2.0 port, micro HDMI and a 3.5mm audio jack. It has dual band WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and front/rear 720p cameras. The optional touch cover is 3mm thin and doubles as a display cover. The tablet runs Windows 8 apps from the app store but not Windows 7 3rd party applications like Adobe Creative Suite or Corel Paint. It has the core Windows 7 apps like MS Paint, calculator and administrative tools.
